TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival Celebrates 20 years! 


The countdown is on to Canada’s Largest Latin Themed Street Festival July 6 & 7 



(Toronto, ON – JUNE 27, 2024) – Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Latin America as Canada’s largest Latin-themed street festival, the FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair, returns to Toronto’s Hillcrest Village on July 6 and 7. This year marks the festival's 20th anniversary, promising an electrifying celebration of music, authentic cuisine, family entertainment, and of course non-stop dancing!


TD Salsa on St. Clair is the pinnacle of the TD Salsa in Toronto Festival. The award-winning festival is not just an event - it's an immersive experience where visitors are part of the entertainment and attendees are transported into a colourful and bustling celebration of Latin culture along St. Clair Ave West (Between Winona Dr. and Christie St.). 

As Canada’s favourite Latin-themed street dance party, the TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival returns with a stellar lineup presented by Jackpot City.

What to Expect: 

  • Music: Over 350 Canadian and international artists will light up the TD Canada, and El Gaucho festival stages featuring some of the best Latin musicians in the world. From Salsa and Merengue to Bachata and Samba, there will be a variety of music genres for everyone to enjoy.
  • Performers include: a captivating Samba presentation by Dance Migration featuring the renowned "King of Samba" Carlinhos Salgueiro, Puerto Rican award-winning vocalist Max Rosado, dynamic Cuban musician Marta Elena all the way from Havana, and for the first time ever, experience the pulsating rhythms of Batucada Carioca and Berimbalada by Capoeira Bamba, straight from Rio de Janeiro, just to name a few! 
  • Fiesta Parade: Presented by Mucho Burrito, the festival parade will showcase cultural performances from over a dozen countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, among others. 
  • Dance Hot Spots: Dive into non-stop dancing with DJ Gio and Los Salsomanos, Soul2Sole Latin Dance Company, Steps Dance Studio, ShumdeSalsa and more at the festival’s four Dance Hot Spots, ensuring every attendee can salsa the night away. 
  • Dance Performances: The festival will also feature colourful dance performances by Puro Mexico Ballet, Yambeque, Abanico, Inspiracion Latina, Estampa Peruana, and Salsa & Sabor.  
  • Culinary Delights: Indulge in an array of authentic Latin cuisines from across the world, with specialty offerings from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil.

The TD Salsa in Toronto Festival month-long celebrations and activities are now in full swing, with the FREE dance lessons all over the GTA and surrounding areas,Salsa on Market Street in the heart of Toronto's Old Town brings non-stop street dancing to the historic St. Lawrence neighbourhood,

TD Welcome to Canada Children’s Literacy Program that continues until Sunday, July 7th, and the VIBRANTE Fine Art Exhibition on display at the Little Egg Gallery until July 11th.   

Festival ambassadors Camila Gonzalez, Ivan Wanis Ruiz, and Renzo Garcia are also Salsa-ready for the ultimate salsa dance party and invite all Canadians to join them!
