(Toronto, ON – JULY 8, 2022) – The weather this weekend is going to be caliente with a chance of churros as the FREE 18th annual TD Salsa on St. Clair Festival returns IN-PERSON to celebrate all things Latino! St. Clair Avenue West will be closed from Winona Drive to Christie Street on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 8am to Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 11pm.
Admission is FREE, so join salsa lovers from near and far for a jam-packed weekend of colorful performances, dance lessons, authentic Latin cuisine, children’s entertainment, and non-stop dancing!

Canada’s largest celebration of Latin culture, TD Salsa on St. Clair is happening this Saturday July 9th and Sunday July 10th on St. Clair Ave West. And this year, Canada and beyond will have the opportunity to enjoy and take part in the festivities through the FREE LIVE STREAM online at salsaintoronto.ca
TD Salsa in Toronto is exited for the IN-PERSON return of the biggest salsa festival in the city, featuring an authentic latin food market for everyone to indulge, nearly 350 performers, over 30 dance instructors, and dance hot spots throughout the festival for non-stop dancing all weekend long!
This year’s festival lineup features artists and performers from all over Latin America bringing the heat and passion of their roots. Performers include, Puerto Rican influenced Orchestra, La Borinqueña, Venezuelan singer, Ricardo Barboza, Son D’Aqui Orchestra brining the salsa swing, Viva Mexico Mariachi with authentic rancheras, and debuting at the TD Salsa on St. Clair Festival, Montreal based, Tribu Kumbe presenting traditional dances Mapale and Cumbia from Colombia, among many more.
Special VIP guest appearances include Toronto Mayor, John Tory taking part in his annual Salsa dance lesson with host Camila Gonzalez.

The FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival will take over the Hillcrest BIA Village and transform mid-town Toronto (St Clair Ave West between Winona Dr. and Christie St.) into the weekend hot spot! Celebrate everything Latino with a jam-packed weekend of authentic cuisine, FREE dance lessons, Live music, colourful folklore performances, and entertainment for the entire familia.
As Canada’s favourite Latin-themed street dance party, the TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival returns with a stellar lineup of over 350 Canadian and international music/dance artists featuring new and returning crowd favourites. Performers include Marta Elena brining the rhythms of Havana to Toronto, Montreal Latin icon Lu Jayan y Su Clan Latino, and “the bad boys of Salsa” Salseros with Attitude. Also performing is Dance Migration with the electrifying Brazilian Samba, Salsa Explosion Kids Troupe’ all the way from Winnipeg, and urban Latin group Papaya Sound Experience, Latin Swing Orchestra, and Bachata Swing Toronto. And for the first time ever, don’t miss Batucada Carioca and Berimbalada performances from Capoeira Bamba bringing Rio de Janeiro to St. Clair Ave West.
Plus take in the vibrant ‘La Fiesta’ Parade showcasing over a dozen countries and their traditional performances from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Bolivia, El Salvador, and many more.

July 9th & Sun. July 10th.
The anticipated in-person return of the TD Salsa in Toronto Festival after two successful virtual editions features a jam-packed lineup of events throughout the GTA and surrounding areas celebrating Latin Culture in Canada. Highlights include the BONITA Latin art exhibition at the Art of Emotions Gallery which features nearly 40 local Hispanic Visual Artists; in addition to Salsa Before and After parties at Lula Lounge, and FREE dance lessons across the GTA, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Halton Regions all in preparation for the FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival Weekend on July 9th & 10th!
Canada’s favourite Latin street party is back to heat up the summer! Celebrating its 18th edition, the annual FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair takes over midtown Toronto’s Hillcrest Village transforming a stretch of St. Clair Avenue West (from Winona Dr. to Christie St.) into Canada’s biggest salsa party! Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the events sector, the ultimate Latin fiesta of the year continues virtually with the support of longstanding partners TD Bank Group and TLN TV, bringing the magic of Salsa into the homes of millions of Canadians. Be sure to tune in to the special TV event that is broadcast exclusively on TLN TV and streamed online on tln.ca, Saturday July 10th at 4P/et and Sunday July 11th at 1P/et.
Continuing with the TD Salsa in Toronto Festival tradition of non-stop dancing in the streets, we are thrilled to bring the party into the homes of Canadians from coast to coast, featuring a wide variety of dancers and dance schools to ensure that you don’t miss a Salsa beat! This year, the festival is proud to feature some of the youngest Salseros in festival history, sharing performances from Salsa Explosion Kids. Founded by Pro Am World Salsa Champion Ana Lopez in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Salsa Explosion Kids are a well-known and successful local dance school who have won multiple gold medals in solo, couple, and team categories at the 2019 and 2020 Canadian Salsa and Bachata Congress. The salsa dance party would not be complete without an appearance from multi-World Salsa Champions Adriano Leropoli & Samantha Scali of Montreal, Quebec. Adriano and Samantha are the first Canadian partners to have won a world title in the Professional Salsa On2 division, placing first at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 World Salsa Summit. The TD Salsa in Toronto Festival is incredibly proud to share the talents of Salseros of all ages and experience levels at this year’s festival.
As the Festival soon approaches, TD Salsa in Toronto’s #KeepDancingCanada campaign is in full swing as the many performers and participants of the 2021 edition are busy sharing micro segments on what Salsa means to them across social and digital media platforms.
