Sabor 19 is a 10-piece salsa and cumbia orchestra from Montreal, with musicians from Mexico, Colombia, Haiti, Morocco, Turkey, and Canada. Founders Eduardo Ramirez and Mac Gregore Brunis decided to form the group after meeting by chance at a dance event in 2017. They realized their common passion for salsa music and decided to create Sabor 19 the next year. Why 19? To us, 2019 symbolizes the year of our debut and the beginning of a beautiful story.
Since their first show in 2019, Sabor 19 has performed at numerous clubs and festivals in Montreal and across Canada and have made a name for themselves in the Montreal Latin scene. They started writing their own songs which took them in 2023 to the semi-finals of the Syli d’Or festival organized by Festival Nuits d’Afrique. With a mix of classic hits and original compositions, Sabor 19’s mission is to make people dance and to share the warmth and joy of a street party with the audience.
