(TORONTO, ON) July 8, 2021 – The wait is officially over with the 17th Annual TD Salsa in Toronto Festival fast approaching, and only two days to go before the ultimate dance party! Canada’s largest celebration of Latin culture happens this Saturday July 10th at 4P/et and Sunday July 11th at 1P/et on TLN TV and streamed online at tln.ca, with the hottest lineup in festival history of Latin music, dance, art, food, and culture.
As much as we miss dancing together on the street of St. Clair Avenue West, it would not be summer in the city without the TD Salsa in Toronto Festival, so we brought the dancing right into your living rooms! Be part of this interactive salsa party with virtual dance lessons throughout the broadcast that will have everyone up on their feet!
This year’s lineup features nearly 100 artists and performers including: Montreal’s Lengaia Salsa Brava, Toronto’s own Marta Elena y su Orchestra, Salsa Explosion Kids of Winnipeg Manitoba, multi-World Salsa Champions Adriano Leropoli & Samantha Scali of Montreal and many more. Plus special appearances by Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Pedro Capo, Juno Award-winning musical group OKAN, and iHeart Radio Music Award- winning reggaeton sensation Manuel Turizo.
The lineup also includes special guest appearance by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well as Toronto Mayor John Tory taking part in his annual Salsa dance lesson with host Camila Gonzalez!
And because nothing says summer like salsa and soccer, TD Salsa in Toronto and TLN TV have wrapped it all up in one jam-packed Latin Fiesta for all of Canada to enjoy. Join us for the Official TD Salsa in Toronto Afterparty at 8P/et on TLN TV as Argentina faces off against Brazil in the Copa America Final!
Dust off your dancing shoes and #KeepDancingCanada at the hottest virtual salsa party of the year at the 17th annual TD Salsa in Toronto Festival.
Exclusive TV broadcast: Saturday, July 10th at 4P/et on TLN TV and streamed online at tln.ca. Encore broadcast: Sunday, July 11th at 1P/et.
