(Toronto, ON – July 4, 2024) – The countdown is on to Canada’s largest Latin-themed street dance party of the year! The award-winning TD Salsa in Toronto Festival celebrates 20 years this weekend at the FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival, on Saturday July 6th & Sunday July 7th.

Where culture meets community, the annual street festival takes over midtown Toronto’s Hillcrest Village BIA transforming St. Clair Ave West (between Winona Dr. and Christie St.) into the ultimate Latin fiesta for all Canadians to enjoy!

Festival Highlights include:

The Fiesta Parade (Presented by Mucho Burrito)

Saturday, July 6 and Sunday July 7 at 12:30PM

The anniversary celebrations kick off with the festival parade showcasing cultural performances from over a dozen countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, among others. 

Toronto's Political Salsa Showdown

Saturday, July 6 at 3:30P – TD Mainstage

Get ready to witness a fusion of politics and passion as political figures set aside their business suits and dust off their dancing shoes. Special VIP guest appearances include Toronto’s Mayor, Olivia Chow taking part in a Salsa showdown hosted by festival ambassador and TLN Media Group personality Camila Gonzalez.

Non-Stop Music and Dance Performances at Two Festival Stages

Over 350 Canadian and international artists will light up the TD Canada, and El Gaucho festival stages featuring some of the best Latin musicians in the world. Performers include a captivating Samba presentation by Dance Migration featuring the renowned "King of Samba" Carlinhos Salgueiro, Puerto Rican award-winning vocalist Max Rosado, dynamic Cuban musician Marta Elena all the way from Havana, and for the first time ever, experience the pulsating rhythms of Batucada Carioca and Berimbalada by Capoeira Bamba, straight from Rio de Janeiro, just to name a few! 

Dancing In The Streets

Experience the non-stop entertainment at the dance hot spots throughout the festival featuring DJ Gio and Los Salsomanos, Soul2Sole Latin Dance Company, Steps Dance Studio, ShumdeSalsa and more. 

Culinary Delights

Indulge in an array of authentic Latin cuisines from across the world, with specialty offerings from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil.

Festival ambassadors Camila Gonzalez, Ivan Wanis Ruiz, and Renzo Garcia are also Salsa-ready for the ultimate salsa dance party and invite all Canadians to join the party!
