Get Your Dancing Shoes Ready For TD Salsa on St. Clair on July 9th & July 10th

(Toronto, ON – JUNE 30, 2022) – The COUNTDOWN is officially on to our favourite summer salsa street party with one week to go until Canada’s largest celebration of Latin Culture on Sat, July 9th & Sun, July 10th. The FREE TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival will take over the Hillcrest BIA Village and transform mid-town Toronto (St Clair Ave West between Winona Dr. and Christie St.) into the weekend hot spot! Celebrate everything Latino with a jam-packed weekend of authentic cuisine, FREE dance lessons, Live music, colourful folklore performances, and entertainment for the entire familia.

As Canada’s favourite Latin-themed street dance party, the TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival returns with a stellar lineup of over 350 Canadian and international music/dance artists featuring new and returning crowd favourites.  Performers include Marta Elena brining the rhythms of Havana to Toronto, Montreal Latin icon Lu Jayan y Su Clan Latino, and “the bad boys of Salsa” Salseros with Attitude. Also performing is Dance Migration with the electrifying Brazilian Samba, Salsa Explosion Kids Troupe’ all the way from Winnipeg, and urban Latin group Papaya Sound Experience, Latin Swing Orchestra, and Bachata Swing Toronto. And for the first time ever, don’t miss Batucada Carioca and Berimbalada performances from Capoeira Bamba bringing Rio de Janeiro to St. Clair Ave West.

Plus take in the vibrant ‘La Fiesta’ Parade showcasing over a dozen countries and their traditional performances from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Bolivia, El Salvador, and many more.

The TD Salsa in Toronto Festival month-long celebrations and activities are now in full swing, with the FREE dance lessons all over the GTA and surrounding areas, the TD Welcome to Canada Children’s Literacy Program

that continues until Sunday, July 10th, and the BONITA Fine Art Exhibition on display at the Art of Emotions Gallery until July 15th.

Hosts Camila Gonzalez, Ivan Wanis Ruiz, and Renzo Garcia are also Salsa-ready for the IN-PERSON return of the ultimate salsa dance party and invite all Canadians to join them for the best in Latin musical performances, dance, visual art, and culture!

And after two successful virtual festivals, TD Salsa in Toronto will also feature a FREE LIVE STREAM of the festival main stage on the Salsa in Toronto website for viewers at home.
