Open alcohol is not permitted on festival streets. Alcohol may only be consumed within licensed patios.
There has been some confusion around alcohol consumption at street festivals, so we want to clearly explain the rules that apply at Salsa on St. Clair.
- Salsa on St. Clair has not applied for or received a Bring Your Own Beverage/BYOB event permit.
- No open alcohol is permitted on the street.
- Alcohol may only be consumed within the licensed patios of participating restaurants and businesses.
- Alcohol purchased from a licensed patio must remain within that licensed area and cannot be taken onto the street.
- Patrons cannot bring alcohol from home, the LCBO, convenience stores, or any other retailer onto the festival grounds for consumption.
- Licensed establishments cannot sell alcohol for customers to leave the premises with during the event.
- Alcohol must not be passed between someone outside a licensed patio and someone inside the licensed patio.
